A Quick Run Through The Process:

Most small things are done for free. However, the larger the project the more time it will take and therefore something has to be negotiated.

If it’s art related, I can do it, which means I can create the art and provide the client with a digital copy of the design. If something needs to be printed (like a business card or a poster), that can also be done by me. Keep in mind that I do not own printing equipment, and would need to use an outside source (extra expense). Digital copies of any work created can be easily sent through e-mail or regular mail (on a CD-ROM), this way, the client can choose their own printing methods.

How much do I charge?
I charge by the hour, usually at a rate of $20 per hour. Of course that all depends on the type of work that needs to be done. If some CD/Album cover art is required, I would create a couple different styles to be presented, and then work from there (with the client) with any changes or new ideas that may arise. Any tweaking of my work would be done with no charge, only the initial creation of the art is “on the clock”.
